Scene: Zoe's room. Axel and the toys are warming themselves up for a soccer game later that day.
Sarge Charge: You wanna win this soccer game? Let's lift those knees! Hut! Hut! Hut! Hut! Hut! Hut!
Axel: Are you coming, Zoe?
Zoe: Sorry, Axel! I'm still on the phone with my mom!
(Axel, Masko, and Bearbarian all stop pacing)
Masko: I am the stretch and ready to go win the kicking of the football! If only we had the ball for. (He gasps when he sees a ball of yarn inside a box) That is the it! (grabs the yarn ball) We play the pretend with this one while we wait.
Axel: Practice-game on!
(Axel transforms into Action Axel and passes the yarn ball to Bearbarian, but Bearbarian accidentally kicks the ball too hard that it smashes through an air vent door above them)
Action Axel: Bearbarian!
Bearbarian: Yes, a thunderous goal! Too hard?
Masko: I think the yes.
Bearbarian: Sorry.
(Masko looks at the same box from earlier)
Masko: I see another balls under the desk! I bring them for more kicky fun, yes?
(Masko rolls the "balls" out of the boxes)
Bearbarian: Strange orbs.
Action Axel: These aren't orbs, they're toys! Scratch Pack Catz! That's Orange Cat, Grey Scratchy, and Brown Tabby. I didn't know Zoe is still into these baby toys.
(Masko pokes Orange Cat, waking him up)
Masko: I love! (He pounces onto Brown Tabby and starts rolling onto him, waking him up too) So squishy cute. We adopt them. (sits on top of Brown Tabby) Yes?
Sarge Charge: They'd never make good troops. They can't even stay awake! (pets Grey Scratchy and pokes him) And they're too... soft... and cute.
(Action Axel chuckles)
Action Axel: You guys are as soft for these things as Zoe!
(Bearbarian chuckles. Action Axel presses the button on the back of his helmet and detransforms himself)
Axel: PS. We still need to get that yarn back before she comes back. Masko?
(Masko jumps into the vent door, but he bumps into the wall of the ventilation once he's inside)
Masko: Whoa! Oooh! Aah! Oooh! (groans) Eh? (The ventilation fan gets turn on, causing the yarn ball to roll away) Oh, no! Don't go! Come back! The wait! (follows the yarn ball) Oh! Oh! (The ventilation fan blows Masko away, causing him to shrieks)
(Outside the vent, Zoe enters the room while holding a volleyball)
Zoe: Okay. I'm ready to go, so let's-- (sees Axel is juggling the Scratch Pack Catz) What are you doing?
Axel: Just cat-sitting! So, are these little fur babies playing on your team or mine?
(Axel and Bearbarian both chuckle)
Zoe: You snooped through my room?
Axel: What? No! We were just playing soccer and Masko... found them.
(Axel tosses the Scratch Pack Catz up, but Zoe catches them all)
Zoe: You were playing soccer in here? Are they okay? Did you hurt them?
Axel: How? They're just old Scratch Pack Cats. You don't still like them, do you?
Zoe: Of course I do. I played with them all the time when I was a kid!
(A flashback occurs when Zoe was younger. Orange Cat is being tossed up into the air)
Kid Zoe: Yoo-hoo! Scratch Pack! Yay! (She catches Orange Cat and hugs him) Aw...
Zoe: Orange Cat, super stealthy, Brown Tabby's a little wild, and Grey Scratchy is the grumpy one! So cute! They have two cat modes, they love when you pet them, but if you take away their yarn ball you better watch out. Kitty's got claws!
(In the flashback, younger Zoe takes away Grey Scratchy's yarn ball which causes him to get upset)
Grey Scratchy: Miaow.
Zoe: When they walk, their super-cute theme song starts to play! (Flashback ends) ♫ Here, kitty, kitty, kitty. Scratch, scratch, scratch. Scratch Pack, Scratch Pack, scratch, scratch, scratch. Here, kitty... ♫
(Axel covers his ears)
Axel: Don't sing that stupid song! It'll get stuck in my head and... Bearbarian!
(Axel sees that Bearbarian is dancing to the tune. Bearbarian stops dancing when Axel calls his name)
Bearbarian: What? I was practicing a battle ballad! Yes! I would never sing something so adorable... and cute. (starts dancing again)
Zoe: Wait. You played soccer with the Scratch Pack's yarn ball? Oh, no! Where is it?
(Meanwhile, Masko is still trying to find the yarn ball in the vent)
Masko: At these times I must ask to myself, "Which is more the scary? Belong alone in the dark or all of this dust in my nose?" (He sneezes, causing himself to bump into the wall of vent) Exploring in the creepy cave is no for Masko. (falls down from the wall) Whoa! (sees something nearby) Huh? Yes! Finally! I find this! (sees that it's actually a dust ball) Oh, no! Is not the yarn ball, is a giant dust ball!
(Masko sneezes again, causing him to pinball inside the vent walls. Back in the room, Bearbarian wakes up the Scratch Pack Cats and they start walking around the room)
Bearbarian: I cannot resist!
Axel: Check it out, I'm part of the Scratch Pack!
Zoe: Huh?
Axel: All I do now is walk in a circle and sleep. (picks up Brown Tabby) Miaow, miaow, miaow!
Zoe: Not funny! Give me back Brown Tabby!
(Zoe snatches Brown Tabby out of Axel's hand, which unintentionally causes his right Power Band to fall off and bumps into the bedroom wall)
Axel: Hey! Whoa! Don't hit my Power Band! (The Power Band drops to the floor and Minergy starts leaking out of it) Minergy leak! That's never happened before!
Zoe: Neither has that! (The Minergy makes the Scratch Pack Cats all come to life. The Cats all meow evilly) I didn't mean to break it! I was reaching for my cat and-- (Brown Tabby makes his eyes turn into a hypnotic state) I didn't know your Power Band could do that to my toys.
(Axel picks up his fallen Power Band)
Axel: Uh, because it can't. You broke it!
Zoe: If you haven't been messing with my stuff, I never would have broken your stuff! (Orange Cat hisses at her and Axel) You really let the cats out of the bag!
Orange Cat: Miaow!
(Orange Cat steals the Power Band from Axel)
Axel: What? Hey! What are you doing? Give that back!
(Brown Tabby starts hissing at Zoe)
Zoe: Why so mean? You're supposed to be cute! (Brown Tabby scratches Zoe's hands) Aaah!
(Brown Tabby lands onto the floor)
Brown Tabby: Miaow!
Zoe: They're angry if they don't have their yarn ball!
Axel: Who cares about yarn? I have to get my Power Band back before it animates anything else in here!
(The Scratch Pack Cats all growl at everyone. Above them, Masko has sneezed himself out of the vent and back into the room)
Masko: Whoa! What happen to the squishy cute?
Sarge Charge: Already on it. (He charges to the Cats) Charge!
(Masko follows Sarge)
Masko: They not so cute anymore!
Bearbarian: Roar!
The Scratch Pack Cats: Miaow. Miaow.
(Grey Scratchy's hisses frightens Sarge and Masko)
Sarge Charge: Aaah!
The Scratch Pack Cats: Miaow.
(Sarge and Masko both jump into Bearbarian's hands)
Masko: Good! You the scared like me!
Sarge Charge: I wasn't scared! That was a reflex test. You passed, Bearbarian.
(Bearbarian tosses Masko and Sarge out of his hands)
Bearbarian: Oh, brother.
Axel: Come on, kitty, this isn't funny! (He tries to grab Brown Tabby, but he scratches his hand) Ow!
Zoe: Huh?
Masko: Gah! They scratchy! (hides behind a room divider)
Sarge Charge: No good, kid. They're toys. Only a toy can take them out.
Bearbarian: Cats do not scare Bearbarian! I have seen much worse. The snakes of Slitheraun... fanged spider-bats... babies... (levitates World Breaker from Axel's backpack) Roar!
(Bearbarian and Sarge both charge to the Cats)
Sarge Charge: Charge!
(The Cats all start hypnotic trances)
Axel: Guys! Don't look at them!
Zoe: Huh?
Axel: Their trance powers are real now with Minergy!
(Sarge, Bearbarian, and Zoe are all put in the trance and they start singing and dancing to the toy's theme song)
Sarge Charge: ♫ Scratch Pack, Scratch Pack, cats, cats, cats... ♫
Axel: I told you that song is bad.
Zoe: ♫ Here, kitty, kitty, kitty. Scratch, scratch, scratch... ♫
Axel: Looks like it's up to us now, Zoe! (sees Zoe is being hypnotized too)
Zoe: ♫ Scratch pack, Scratch Pack, cats, cats, cats... ♫
(Axel grabs his backpack and covers Zoe's eyes)
Axel: Don't look!
Zoe: Huh? Oh!
(As Sarge is still singing the theme song, Axel and Zoe both sneak past the Cats while using the backpack as a shield)
Sarge Charge: ♫ Here, kitty, kitty, kitty. Scratch, scratch, scratch. Scratch Pack, Scratch Pack, cats, cats, cats. ♫
(Orange Cat puts Axel into a trance)
Axel: Huh?
Axel and Sarge Charge: Here, kitty, kitty, kitty. Scratch--
Zoe: Huh? (hits Axel with his backpack, snapping him out of the trance) Stop that, or you'll be put in their trances, too!
Axel: I know, it's just so... catchy!
(Axel and Zoe both continue sneaking past the Cats)
Sarge Charge: ♫ Scratch Pack, Scratch Pack, cats, cats, cats. Here, kitty, kitty, kitty. Scratch, scratch, scratch. Scratch-- ♫
(Axel grabs both Sarge and Bearbarian, snapping the two of the trance. Axel puts the two toys in his backpack)
Axel: Remember, don't look into the cats' eyes again. It's dangerous!
Sarge Charge: Got it! (takes out his bandanna) Plan. We close our eyes as we charge this time!
(Sarge covers his eyes with his bandanna, but Bearbarian takes the bandanna off)
Bearbarian: I do not need to close my eyes. I am strong enough to deny their control.
Sarge Charge: Then so am I.
(Bearbarian jumps out of Axel's backpack to the Cats)
Bearbarian: Roar!
Masko: Bearbarian! Curl up into the fluffy ball like you are made of the yarn!
Bearbarian: Got it! (He curls himself up into a ball and Orange Cat, who's wearing the Power Band like a belt, pounces onto him. The Cats are all still yowling) Your ball strategy is working, Masko, but I am torn! (Orange Cat scratches Bearbarian's fur) They are evil... and adorable.
(Sarge takes the Power Band out of Orange Cat's waist and tosses it to Masko)
Sarge Charge: Masko, soccer pass!
Masko: Is call "the football".
(Masko kicks the Power Band and passes it to Axel)
Axel: Good one. (catches the Power Band)
(Bearbarian is currently being scratched by the Cats)
Bearbarian: Argh! I take it back! The evil is greater than the adorable! The pain!
(Bearbarian falls into the floor)
Sarge Charge: Backup's on the way, Bear! Hurrah! (The Cats all charge to Sarge, Action Axel, and Masko) Aaah! (Brown Tabby tauntingly plays with Sarge by juggling him with his feet) Who trained these cats to be so bad? Aaah!
Zoe: They miss their yarn ball! They're made that way! (Brown Tabby meows and is heading to the door) No, no, no! If they get out, they'll destroy my whole house! Or the neighborhood! Or the city!
(Action Axel, with his Power Drone activated, flies towards Brown Tabby)
Action Axel: Don't panic! (Action Axel grabs Brown Tabby by his tail to prevent him from getting out of the room) They didn't get that much Minergy. If we can hold 'em here and tire them out, they should fade back to normal soon! We'll keep 'em distracted! You go hold the door shut from the hallway.
Zoe: On it! Axel, they have two modes, remember? (closes her room door) Instead of fighting, maybe try playing with them?
Action Axel: Playing with a baby toy? That's... exactly right! Happiness ends conflicts quicker than anger! (looks to the right to see Masko who's riding on Grey Scratchy like a rodeo bull) Masko, where's that ball of yarn?
Masko: I be the right back. Dusty place, to you I return.
(Masko jumps out of Grey Scratchy's back and gets back into the vent)
Zoe: I knew you lost it!
(Zoe angrily glares at Action Axel)
Action Axel: Heh... left that part out. (He accidentally lets go of Brown Tabby and he runs onto him) Huh? Ow! (The Scratch Pack Cats all get together and hiss at the Power Players) New strategy, team. Huddle up! (He, Sarge, and Bearbarian all huddle up) Zoe's right. It's time to switch from slay-time to play-time!
(Above them, Masko is almost getting out of the vent)
Masko: I have... (sneezes) the yarns! (He gets out of the vent door) We have come too far, ball of the yarn! I not leave you behind! (He gets back into the room, but he sees that he had unintentionally caused the ball of yarn to be unwinded) Oh, no! It the unwinded!
Sarge Charge: Got a new, new strategy?
Masko: Not the panics. I... (sneezes) re-roll.
Action Axel: No time, Masko, you'll have to be the ball of yarn so that we can tire these wildcats out and use up their Minergy.
Masko: But Bearbarian do the ball trick for no good!
Action Axel: That's because...
Bearbarian: I cannot bounce like you can!
(Later, Bearbarian wraps Masko's arms and legs to form him into a ball)
Masko: Ah! But you are certain their claws will no hurt me?
Bearbarian: Please! They're harmless little kitties... of doom.
(Bearbarian points at his back which was being scratched one of by the Cats)
Masko: I not so ready now!
Action Axel: No time for second thoughts, Masko. This isn't the soccer game I had in mind, but let's see if we can't score some new tricks on these old cats!
(Action Axel kicks Masko to the Cats)
Masko: Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Aaaah!
(The Power Players all start playing soccer in the room, using Masko as a ball. Action Axel passes Masko to Sarge)
Action Axel: Play ball, cats!
Masko: Whoa!
(The Cats all follow Masko as he flies to Sarge)
Sarge Charge: Sorry, Masko. But the kid says "play ball!"
(Sarge kicks Masko and sends him flying to the box)
Masko: Is okay!
Action Axel: Yeah!
Bearbarian: Aim for the box!
(Masko flies into the box and the Cats all get lured into it)
Masko: Goal!
(Masko gets out of the box and Bearbarian and Action Axel both closes the box flaps to prevent the Cats from escaping)
Bearbarian: ♫ Here, kitty, kitty, kitty. ♫
Action Axel, Zoe, and Sarge Charge: Not the song!
Bearbarian: Oh! Right. But it's so--
Zoe: Yes, the song! Keep singing! It calms them down!
Action Axel, Bearbarian, and Zoe: ♫ Here, kitty, kitty, kitty. Scratch, scratch, scratch. Scratch pack, Scratch Pack, cats, cats, cats ♫
Masko: (laughs) Is fun! I get the football now! I am one with the ball!
Action Axel: They've gotta run out of Minergy soon!
Zoe: Should we check on them? I don't hear anything.
Sarge Charge: Leave this to the professional. (He opens the box to see that the Cats are all back in their dormant states and are purring while sleeping in their ball forms) Hoo-rah!
(The rest of the Power Players are all cheering)
Zoe: Aw! They are pretty cute.
Action Axel: Sorry I was making fun of something you liked, Zoe.
Zoe: It didn't bug me. I like what I like no matter what other people think.
Bearbarian: I don't think my fur will ever grow back the same way again! I will stick with dogs.
(Everyone laughs in amusement)
