When Axel transforms into a living action figure, he must use his amazing new powers to keep the world safe from the evil MadCap. He’ll also need a little help from his new smart-toy friends, like Sarge Charge, Masko, Bobbie Blobby, Galileo and Slobot. They’ll face off against villains like Madcap, Orangutank, Porcupunk, Dr. Nautilus, Princess Sugarsalt, Dynamo and Joyride. You’ve never seen such huge action and adventure on such a tiny scale![3]

- As of 2021, there is no plans for a second season. While an Animation Magazine article once mentioned a second season, it is incorrect since it wrote that the series has a total of seventy-eight episodes - which is the same amount of the first season.[23]
- The season was originally going to premiere in 2017 and later 2018.[24][25]
- According to a PDF document on the official Method Animation website, this season had a budget of €16,000,000 ($18,101,888 USD).[26]
- This season was originally planned to debut on Teletoon in Canada for English viewers on August 31, 2019. However, it premiered a day early on the official Cartoon Network website in the USA with the release of the first seven episodes. Eventually, the season made its official USA television premiere on September 21, 2019.
- With the exception of the "Big Mad" season finale, none of the episode are written and produced in chronological order.
- The two-part "Unboxing Special" episodes are the twelfth and thirteenth to be written. However, they are always the first to premiere worldwide in various networks. This is because the episodes serve as the origin story and introduce new viewers to the series.
- Some online sources would incorrectly state that Season 1 has 52 episodes instead of 78.
- Only fifty-two episodes premiered on television in the United States. Starting in "Drummed Out", the remaining episodes were released on Netflix after low television ratings and Cartoon Network losing the broadcasting rights for the series.
- Starting on March 5, 2020, the season is available on Netflix with the release of first twenty-six episodes.[27]
- The second twenty-six episodes are available on Netflix starting on August 1, 2020.[27]
- The final twenty-six episodes are available starting on March 15, 2020.[14]
- When the season is available on Netflix, most of the episodes aren't organized in the Cartoon Network airing order.
- Nearly every known episode in this season has premiered on the official Cartoon Network website in the USA before its official television premiere with around less than 250,000 viewers.
- Because the episodes were released on the website, this led to very low ratings for the episodes when they made their television premiere.[28]
- "Porcupunk Rock", "All Trick No Treat", "Iced Out", "Gathering Dark", and "Bobbie Not Blobby" are the only episodes in the USA to make their television premieres before they became available on the official Cartoon Network website.
- Whenever the episodes are airing on television, there'll be two episodes airing together in order to fill up the half-hour time slot.
- During the COVID-19 pandemic, Todd Haberkorn, the English dub director, revealed on his Instagram on August 25, 2020, that he's back at the Dubbing Brothers studio to continue voice directing the last remaining episodes of Season 1, albeit socially-distanced.[29]
