Porcupunk is a recurring antagonist of Power Players. He is a toy mutant porcupine cyborg who's one of Madcap's army.
Appearance[]
Porcupunk resembles a humanoid-porcupine mutant. He has light-green armor with camouflage patterns along with the spikes, with light-green teeth and eyes. He is colored magenta from the upper body, to arms and legs, and to his face.
Personality[]
As his name suggested, Porcupunk acts as a metal headbanger punk who enjoys rock 'n roll and heavy metal music. He has a mean attitude to anyone around him, including his fellow villains and Madcap himself, and he likes to cause chaos and destruction in his path along with the other villains, not caring if he causes any humans harm in the process. He also can be manipulative since he's able to convince Bobbie Blobby to think her friends didn't care about her because of how different she is so she could join the villain side in "The Other Side".
But despite he's part of Madcap's army, Porcupunk is constantly being treated as a joke by the other villains and he usually suffers from bad-luck by getting himself hurt because of them and/or the Power Players. In "Joke's On You, Bro!", Porcupunk mentioned that everyone sees him as a "weirdo" and after he captured Galileo, he wants to prove to his fellow villains that he's capable of taking down the Power Players by destroying him with his new cannon weapon.
At times, Porcupunk can also be a bit of a coward. When the Power Players pull a prank on the villains on Halloween in "All Trick No Treat" to scare them away from the Toy Store, Porcupunk gets scared by a fake spider when he got trapped on a spider-web decoration and rolls away in fear. And when Madcap got defeated in "The Best Team", he chooses to run away instead of fighting back the Power Players.
Abilities[]
Porcupunk can launch his spiked quills that are on him as missiles off of his body that can cause explosions towards his enemies, which he can regrow them back on his body. He can also transform himself into a ball to roll around and spin around, which also helps him to move more faster.
In "Porcupunk Rock", Madcap gave Porcupunk an upgrade that gave his supersonic spikes which allows him to be more destructive with an extreme mass of soundwaves. He uses the spikes to create his own guitar, a stage with giant spikes that resembles his own and create soundwaves to causes those it hits to begin to dance uncontrollably and shout like they're at a rock and roll concert. The only way to stop Porcupunk was to destroy the guitar which was the power source for his upgrade.
In "Joke's On You, Bro!", Porcupunk got a cannon weapon that is attached to his middle back spike that can shoot out electromagnetic energy beams.
Relationships[]
Madcap[]
Porcupunk was brought to life by Madcap after he found him and Orangutank at Andrew's workshop when Axel accidentally left them there. Since then, Porcupunk is always on Madcap's side and refers to him as his "boss". Although Porcupunk has a strong loyalty for Madcap, he is often being treated like a joke by his boss and Madcap would sometimes attack him whenever Porcupunk didn't follow his demands and/or if Porcupunk questions Madcap and his schemes, including recruiting new members to Madcap's army. But despite his abuse, sometimes Porcupunk can go renegade by disobeying Madcap with any chance, like gaining an upgrade power-up to overpowered Madcap in "Porcupunk Rock".
Orangutank[]
Porcupunk and Orangutank seem to be very close since they're the first toys Madcap made them come to life by the Minergy battery after "Unboxing Part 2". Whenever Madcap leaves his lair to fight with the Power Players, Porcupunk and Orangutank are usually seen with him as his henchmen. Porcupunk is shown to at least understand Orangutank whenever he talks and often tries to translate his garbling whenever someone else doesn't understand him. But even though Porcupunk mostly gets along with Orangutank, he is irritated when Orangutank revealed to him in "Savage Axel" that he wants to have him as his "manservant" once he successfully rules the city as a jungle.
Dynamo[]
Porcupunk and Dynamo both first met after the latter was brought to life by Madcap in "Bowling for Ballers". Upon seeing him for the first time, Porcupunk immediately becomes jealous of Dynamo and asks Madcap what kind of power Dynamo got that he ain't got since Madcap wants Dynamo to come with them to fight against the Power Players at the bowling alley. In response, Dynamo blasts Porcupunk away with his magnetic power which impresses Madcap even more. When the three villains are at the bowling alley, Porcupunk continues to express his jealousy to Dynamo and the former was forced by Madcap to wind up the key behind Dynamo's back to turn him back on whenever Dynamo get shut down. Although the first time he wound up Dynamo, Porcupunk purposely didn't wind him up enough which causes Dynamo to shut down again when they're at the arcade room and Dynamo to angrily attack him.
Although Porcupunk can still get jealous of Dynamo's power, the two toys often get along with each other because of their shared hatred of the Power Players and their love for destruction. In "The Best Team", Dynamo and Porcupunk both team-up to help Madcap sabotage Axel at the soapbox derby race. And when Madcap gets defeated at the end of the episode, the two both agreed to cowardly run away in fear without fighting the Power Players back. And in "Winner Takes All", they both break into the Toy Store to crush the Power Players while the team are in the middle of wrestling on Luchador Day.
Princess SugarSalt[]
Porcupunk and SugarSalt have a neutral relationship, meaning they both hate each other but can act as teammates and at times friends. In "Grin and Bear It", when he overheard Zoe and Axel talking about a crown that protects and heals his tooth, he mistakenly thought the crown is a headpiece instead of a dental cap for Axel's tooth and he informed Princess SugarSalt about it. Upon hearing the news, Princess SugarSalt told Porcupunk that he was her favorite before she leaves to steal the crown, angering Ice Crusher out of jealousy from being rejected by his ice crown he made for her.
Power Players[]
Overall, Porcupunk is a sworn enemy to the Power Players since he's on Madcap's side. In "The Other Side", when Madcap needs him to recruit someone to help him take down the team, Porcupunk chooses Bobbie Blobby and manipulated her into thinking that her friends didn't care about her because of her harshness to them to convince her to join the villain side.
But despite Porcupunk's hatred to the Power Players, in "All Trick No Treat", he's willing to put aside their differences so they could temporarily work together to rescue their respective leaders when both Madcap and Action Axel are mistakenly got taken away by a trick-or-treater on Halloween and after they succeed, he becomes their enemy again.

- Porcupunk's name has been changed in several international dubs:
- In the French version, he is called "Porképunk".
- In the Hungarian version, he is called "Tarajos".
- In the Polish version, he is called "Jeżozwierzak".
- In the English dubbed version, Porcupunk speaks in a British accent.
- Before the series premiere, Porcupunk was first revealed on Tarik Hamdine's Instagram on July 24, 2018, when Handine uploaded a storyboard image of him from "Porcupunk Rock". Although, he wasn't identified by his name yet.[4]
- Porcupunk's name was first mentioned by Increditainment on Facebook on March 13, 2019.[5]
- Just like with Orangutank, Porcupunk, in a way, has indirectly caused Axel to find the Power Bandz and released Madcap and the Power Players from the Toy Box. In "Unboxing Part 1", Axel was playing with him and Orangutank when they're both in a dormant state and Axel causes one of Orangutank's legs to fall off. When Axel is trying to fix Orangutank's leg, he accidentally tosses a screwdriver away and it rolls to Uncle Andrew's lab, causing the entire series conflict to happen.
- Also, the reason Porcupunk became Madcap's henchman was that Axel left him and Orangutank at the workshop when he tried to retrieve the screwdriver he accidentally dropped, which indirectly caused Madcap to later find them and made them come to life after applying Minergy to them from the Minergy battery.
- In "Unboxing Part 1", it's revealed by Andrew that Porcupunk comes with a spiked shield as an accessory. However, Porcupunk is never seen with his shield after he was brought to life by Madcap.
- When Porcupunk get upgraded by Madcap in "Porcupunk Rock", his powers are similar to Guitar Villain's from Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir, another ZAG Heroez series. And just like Guitar Villain, Porcupunk's power source is from his guitar.
- Porcupunk and the Scratch Pack Cats are the only known smart-toys who could transform themselves into a ball to roll around.
- In "Saving Private Masko", when he's announcing the wrestling match between Madcap and Masko, Porcupunk breaks the fourth wall by looking at the viewers after Orangutank accidentally caused the truck's siren to go off.
- Although he doesn't appear in "On Your Toes", Sarge Charge lied to his teammates about Porcupunk being present in the backyard of the Toy Store so they could leave him alone while he's secretly practicing his ballet. Sarge even made a wooden puppet of Porcupunk for his ruse.
- In "Out Of My Head", Porcupunk "celebrated" his six-month anniversary of working for Madcap by choosing the Toy Store to cause as much chaos as he wanted.
