Synopsis[]

Axel must help Sarge and Bobbie learn to walk in each other's shoes - literally - after Luka unwittingly switches the toys' heads![3]

Plot[]

The episode opens in Axel's room where Luka is playing a game of make-believe with both Sarge Charge and Bobbie Blobby by pretending they're "Farmer Jim" and "Maggie" respectively. Because he wasn't forbidden by Axel to play with any of his toys, he had tricked his friend into going downstairs to fetch themselves a perfect snack from the fridge while Luka sneaked upstairs to play with Sarge and Bobbie since they're the only ones in the bedroom while the rest of the Power Players are at Zoe's house next-door. However, during his playtime, Luka accidentally steps onto a basketball which causes him to toss both Bobbie and Sarge into the air. This leads to a loud crash to be heard from downstairs and Axel became suspicious that Luka must have secretly played with his toys behind his back again. Luka, knowing he's in serious trouble, is about to retrieve both Bobbie and Sarge, only to realize to his horror that their heads have fallen off from their bodies. In a panic, he unwittingly places the toys' heads on the wrong body before placing them under Axel's bed in a hope that Axel didn't notice. Luka rushes downstairs and along his way, he bumps into Axel and he rapidly excuses himself out of the house by saying that he "forgot to turn off his game console at home" and he's going back to his house to avoid getting punished by his friend. Axel doesn't fall for the excuse since he knows perfectly well that Luka never wants to leave his house and realizes that he's been playing with Bobbie and Sarge upstairs.

Upon reaching his room, Axel, unaware of what happened to both Bobbie and Sarge, apologizes to them for not leaving them at Zoe's with the rest of the team which leads to them being forced to be played with by Luka. But his apology was interrupted when his computer monitor suddenly breaks and it falls off the table. Axel manages to catch the computer monitor in time before it hit the floor, and Porcupunk reveals himself to have broken the monitor. Porcupunk tells Axel that it's been six months since he's been working for Madcap and he decided to "celebrate" it by creating as much chaos as he choose and he chose his house to do it in. Axel, not wanting Porcupunk to destroy his house, transforms into Action Axel and asks Bobbie and Sarge for his help. But when Bobbie and Sarge both walk out of the bed, Porcupunk sees what happened to the two toys and start laughing at their fate. Confused, Action Axel turns around and he is surprised to see that Bobbie and Sarge both had their heads switched courtesy of Luka during his playtime.

With the villain inside the house, the Power Players trio knew that they don't have enough time to switch Sarge's and Bobbie's heads back which Porcupunk took advantage of the conflict by wrecking the bedroom. Because both Sarge and Bobbie are in a different body, they are unable to get used to their new body while they're trying to help Action Axel fight Porcupunk; Sarge doesn't know how to use Bobbie's mecha-suit which he ended up firing out clay everywhere from its cannon, while Bobbie is unable to balance herself since she's from a very short body in contrast to Sarge's taller stature. This, in turn, causes both Bobbie and Sarge to buttheads over having to temporarily be in each other's body which neither of them is able to adjust to. During the fight, Bobbie accidentally activates Sarge's parachute from his backpack which causes herself to get lift up in the air and both Sarge and Action Axel have to help hang themselves tight to prevent her from floating away.

The parachute carries the three toys out the bedroom window and they would have float away from the city if Sarge hasn't activated Bobbie's clay lasso and pull Porcupunk out of the house well to add an amount of weight to make them all go down. Sarge accidentally lets go of Porcupunk and sends him flying into the bird feeder while the Power Players trio all land safely in the backyard. After they land on the ground, Bobbie and Sarge both once again clash with each other because of their differences and having to use each other's weapons, which Bobbie mocks Sarge's "baby" shovel while Sarge complains that he's in Bobbie's "kindergarten" body, and they both angrily demand Action Axel that he must switch their heads back immediately. Action Axel tries to calm the two toys down by telling them that they must defeat Porcupunk first before he could continue wrecking the house. He also noted to them that he has his own problem too and it is that he didn't eat anything yet because Luka's playtime has distracted him from eating his peanut butter sandwich after he heard the commotion from upstairs earlier. Bobbie and Sarge both sarcastically didn't take Action Axel's situation very well and dismiss it.

Sarge tries to fight Porcupunk with the mecha-suit again, but he accidentally launches himself in the air and lands on the roof of the house after the cannon fires out clay from the ground. And when he slides down the roof to get back down, he forgot about not having a parachute and he landed faceplanted on the ground. When Action Axel and Bobbie both comfort Sarge, Action Axel realized that they got caught up in what they couldn't have when they should have been happy with what they could and they have to make the most of what they have in order to solve their main problem. Bobbie and Sarge both understand what Action Axel is saying and agree to walk in each other's shoes if they want to get Porcupunk out of the property; Sarge is going to use Bobbie's clay cannon to fire the clay at Porcupunk, while Bobbie is going to fight with Sarge's tiny shovel. Sarge manages to aim the cannon at Porcupunk and fires out clay to trap him in a hollow circular shape clay. Bobbie and Action Axel both get to where Porcupunk is and Action Axel throws numerous seeds to Bobbie which she uses Sarge's shovel as a bat and hits the seeds at Porcupunk. The seeds stick onto the clay that traps Porcupunk which attracts various birds to come to the backyard to eat the seeds. One of the birds grabs the trapped Porcupunk and carries him away into the sky, thus defeating him and sending him away from Axel's house.

A little while later, Slobot has managed to successfully switch Bobbie and Sarge back to their normal bodies. After he finishes the process, Bobbie and Sarge both confront Axel for leaving the two toys alone with Luka without supervising them and Bobbie nags at Axel for snacking his peanut butter sandwich before dinner. Axel, annoyed by Sarge and Bobbie, jokingly asks Slobot if he's sure he got their heads on the right bodies which Slobot laughs along with him.

Trivia[]

  • In the French version, the episode is called, "Une drôle de tête", meaning "A funny expression".
  • The episode title is a play on the metaphor, "out of one's head", which means a person is going crazy.
  • This episode takes place exactly six months after the events of "Unboxing Special" because Porcupunk mentioned he's been working for Madcap ever since "Unboxing Part 2".
  • At the beginning of the episode, Axel can be seen holding a plate of peanut butter sandwich while he's on his way to his room. But when Luka caused a loud ruckus from upstairs after accidentally dropping both Bobbie and Sarge, Axel left his plate on the windowsill in the living room so he can go upstairs to check on them, resulting himself becoming hungry later in the episode.
  • The episode plot is a reference to the body swap story genre that can be used in various medias, most famously Freaky Friday.
  • Masko, Bearbarian, and Galileo are the only members of the Power Players who didn't appear in this episode. Though it is implied that Axel left the three aforementioned toys and Slobot at Zoe's house since only Slobot appeared at the end of the episode.
  • According to Axel, Luka never wants to leave the Toy Store every time he visits him.
  • This episode heavily implied that any Minergy-infused toys who have their heads switch can suddenly start to behave like their body has been adapting to them while in each other's body. This can be seen when Bobbie suddenly has a habit of saluting and becoming tough like Sarge while Sarge suddenly becoming sarcastic and witty like Bobbie.
