Madcap's army is a supervillain team of toys that Madcap assembled to fight against the Power Players. While they each have an individual purpose to take over the city and terrorize its civilians, the army's main purpose is to assist Madcap and help to steal Axel Mulligan's Power Bandz for him.
History[]
Pre-Season 1[]
When a man named Andrew tried his first experiment on Minergy, he used a toy named Might Master as his test subject. But as Might Master discovered what it meant to be played with, he took offense and have started his path to villainy, rechristening himself as Madcap. Because of Madcap's destructive powers, it's heavily implied that Andrew was forced to used Minergy to make six toys come to life to form a team called the Power Players so that they could defeat Madcap. Eventually, Madcap got defeated and he was put in a dormant state along with the Power Players, and the seven toys were all put in the Toy Box in Andrew's secret lab that's located in the basement of the Toy Store.
Season 1[]
Five days before the events of "Unboxing Part 1", a young human boy named Axel Mulligan moves in with his uncle while his parents are away on a diplomatic mission. During his fifth day at the Toy Store, he accidentally broke one of the toys Andrew is trying to fix named Orangutank while playing with him and Porcupunk. Feeling guilty, Axel asks his uncle to get some pizzas for dinner while he secretly ventures down the basement to find a screwdriver to fix Orangutank. However, after Axel accidentally drops the screwdriver and it rolls to Andrew's secret lab, the young boy enters the lab and finds the Power Bandz, a pair of gloves that Andrew created to store some amount of Minergy, underneath a desk and he accidentally zaps Minergy at the Toy Box, reawakening Madcap in the process. Still feeling very resentful of Andrew and vows to seek his revenge on him, Madcap easily manipulated Axel into opening the Toy Box where he trapped inside and he sucks the Minergy from the Power Bandz, gaining his powers back and he escapes from the lab. During the fight between Axel and Madcap, Axel accidentally zaps Minergy at the Power Players team while he's running after the escaped Madcap, reawakening them too.
After Madcap ventures around the house to search for the Minergy battery and he later escapes from Axel's room to venture back down to the basement, he found it in Andrew's workshop in the basement. When the Power Players all quickly venture down the basement to fight with Madcap, he used the Minergy battery to awakened both Orangutank and Porcupunk and forced the two into joining his side to fight against the Power Players. But when Andrew gets home after ordering pizzas for Axel and Zoe, Madcap escapes from the house with the Minergy battery, along with Porcupunk and Orangutank. With their escape and the Minergy battery being stolen from the Toy Store, he, Orangutank, and Porcupunk all take shelter at an abandoned warehouse where they set it up as Madcap's evil lair, planning for their next strike against the Power Players and searching for any more toys to force them into joining their side.
During their exiles, Madcap found Dynamo, Princess SugarSalt, Ice Crusher, Dr. Nautilus, and Pyrant, and they all join his army after he brought them to life with Minergy. Each member of the army have their own goal in mind and desire to take over the city, but they mostly have to assist Madcap by retrieving the Power Bandz from Axel Mulligan in return if they want to accomplish their individual goal. Some notable events include Madcap being forced to turn to the team for help to defeat Porcupunk in "Porcupunk Rock", Bobbie Blobby being persuaded by Porcupunk to join Madcap's side in "The Other Side", and Joyride, who was brought to life by Madcap to join the army, redeeming himself and become friends with the Power Players in "Joyride".

Allies[]
Temporarily allies[]
- Luka's teddy bear collection — A collection of teddy bears owned by a young boy named Luka. In "Bear-Knuckle Brawl", Madcap applied Minergy to the teddy bears and brainwashed them into helping him fight against Action Axel and Bearbarian at Luka's house. However, near the end of the episode, Galileo tricked Madcap into confessing that he "didn't even need all these worthless lizard toys" while fighting against the Power Players and he played the recording out loud to the other spy lizards, causing the army to turn against Madcap for insulting and lying to them by calling them "worthless". However, because Madcap had used up too much Minergy for the toys, all of the lizards are back in their dormant states after they run out of Minergy while helping the Power Players defeat Madcap.

- Minergy-infused plant — The Minergy-infused plant is a monstrous sentient plant that Action Axel accidentally created by applying Minergy from his jet-boots to a seed that Orangutank planted that was supposed to grow into a tree in "Savage Axel". Although the plant is not willingly an ally to Madcap and his army, it attacks Sarge, Action Axel, Masko, and Bearbarian who are all in the middle of fighting Orangutank and Porcupunk. However, because of the plant's natural instinct to eat its nearby preys, it has also attacked both Orangutank and Porcupunk when they're too close to it.

Trivia[]
- Neither Madcap nor any of his minions seem to bother to cover up their secret of being living toys so because of it, there have been cases where one of them are out in the open with other people:
- In "Swing Set Jet Set", Princess SugarSalt terrorizes the park by destroying various trees with Bearbarian's World Breaker.
- In "All Trick No Treat", Madcap frightens a young trick-or-treater girl by appearing out of her Halloween bucket wagon.
- In "Bobbie Not Blobby", Dr. Nautilus can be briefly seen in a news report while he sneaks back down to the sewers.
- In "To Tame the Perilous Skies!", the army flies above the city on their toy airplanes.
- In "Green with Envy", Madcap was planning to attack Andrew when the cameraman has the camera rolling.
- It's unknown if Madcap had assembled his army prior to the events of the series before he was put in a dormant state by Andrew.
- Despite having to work together as a team, none of the toys get along with each other because of their differences. It is very noticeable in "The Other Side" since they never see each other as friends despite living and working together to get their revenge on the Power Players and they don’t care about each other’s wellbeing.
- And despite their loyalty to Madcap, most of the villains lack any respect for him despite he's their leader and some of them want to have him as their own lackey.
- With the exception of Dynamo and Pyrant whose desire is currently unknown, each member of the army have their own goal in mind and they all have a desire to take the city to turn it into their playground:
- For Madcap, he wants to steal Axel's Power Bandz to bring every toy in the world to life to force every human to play with his kind of "games".
- For Orangutank, he wants to turn the city into a jungle, so he could rule it as a jungle king by destroying every man-made structure in his path.
- For Porcupunk, he wants to turn the city into a rock show, so he could play his rock-and-roll music whenever he wants and cause chaos to the civilians.
- For Princess SugarSalt, she wants to rule the city as her own fairy-tale kingdom because of her self-acclaimed "princess" title.
- For Ice Crusher, he wants to freeze the entire city, so he could play his favorite game of ice hockey all the time.
- And for Dr. Nautilus, he wants to flood the entire city with sewage waters, so he could rule it as his underwater kingdom.
- The Scratch Pack Cats are the only antagonists of the series to not have any connection to Madcap's army.
