Bad? Me? Nah. I'm Ice Crusher! Madcap sent me to chill out the town so no one gets in his way. But I have goals of my own. Ha, ha! Goals! Like, I challenge you to some hockey, ‘cause that's what I love, eh!

Ice Crusher is a recurring antagonist of Power Players. He is a toy ice monster who's a part of Madcap's army.

Appearance[]

Ice Crusher is a light blue multi-jointed ice monster hockey player toy with numerous spikes on his body that resembles icicles. He wears a red sweater with a dark red zigzag stripe across, small wooden boards on his arms and legs to resemble elbow pads and knee pads, blue pants, and dark blue skates on his feet. He also wears a white skull-shaped hockey mask that matches his face and teeth. It also has two red vertical paint near the eye holes.

Personality[]

Ice Crusher is a toy hockey player who is arrogant, over-confident, and proud. When he became a member of Madcap's army, he prefers to play a game of ice hockey against the Power Players instead of physically battling them unlike what most villains normally did, although he did threaten the Power Players after he first met them that if they lose him in a hockey match, he would freeze the inside of the Toy Store as part of Madcap's order. But other than his love for ice hockey, Ice Crusher also loves to cheat to win. After he challenged the Power Players, Ice Crusher and his clones all cheat during the game in the hope to win so he could freeze the inside of Axel's house and they all manage to score for ten points in the row.

However, despite his pride as a hockey player, Ice Crusher isn't the most intelligent of Madcap's army and he's very thick-skulled.[2] When he returns back to the Toy Store as part of Madcap's scheme in "Freeze!", he's unable to remember what his role was and how he's going to distract the Power Players. He also took Action Axel's order for him to "freeze" (as in stop what he's doing) too literally and he freezes the second floor of the house with the Power Players still in the living room. Ice Crusher seems to always concern about his pride and sees losing a game on ice as a big deal for him since after Slobot beaten him in a game of curling, he decided to retreat from Madcap's plan while his leader tries to break into the toy shop, forgetting that he was supposed to distract them and not challenge them in the first place.

Abilities[]

Ice Crusher wields a small hockey stick that he would use to produce and manipulate ice and snow. He also has an ability to create clones of himself out of ice, but each of his clones all wears a different uniform. However, if Ice Crusher leaves the area where he froze it, the ice he made would begin to melt.

Relationships[]

Madcap[]

At some point before "Iced Out", Madcap finds Ice Crusher and brought him to life with Minergy which made Ice Crusher become part of his army. He then sends him to the Toy Store to freeze it so no one gets in his way.

In "Freeze!", Madcap and Ice Crusher both go to the Toy Store for Madcap's scheme to expand the army. When Ice Crusher forgets what the plan is, Madcap tells him that Ice Crusher's role is to distract the Power Players while Madcap gets into Andrew's workshop to search for more toys to expand his army. Later after Ice Crusher loses a game of curling against Slobot, he gets out of the house and tells Madcap that they should retreat from their plan. Madcap, who is completely unaware of what's going on inside, gets dragged away by Ice Crusher who starts crying for his defeat against Slobot while totally oblivious that Madcap has already broken the front door open and he unknowingly foils his own leader's plan.

Princess SugarSalt[]

Ice Crusher and Princess SugarSalt have a somewhat neutral relationship. When Ice Crusher made a crown for her in "Grin and Bear It", Princess SugarSalt was initially excited for wearing it on her head since it's a "perfect fit for a princess". But the moment the ice crown starts dripping water on her, she immediately throws a tantrum and destroys it out of anger, declaring she doesn't like the crown anymore since it's made out of ice which can melt. He also became jealous when Princess SugarSalt declares Porcupunk her favorite upon receiving the news from him that Axel has a crown which she's going to steal, unaware that the crown is a dental cap and not a headpiece.

But despite their rocky interactions, Princess SugarSalt helps Ice Crusher try to stop Porcupunk when his upgraded powers have gone out of control in "Porcupunk Rock" and she participates in Ice Crusher's hockey match during a heatwave in "Return of Thermometron 9000".

Power Players[]

In "Iced Out", Ice Crusher challenged the Power Players to a game of ice hockey after he froze the outside of the Toy Store, saying that if he wins, then the inside of the house will be freeze too. During the game, Ice Crusher and his clones all managed to score ten points in the row by cheating and they preceded to mock the Power Players. However after the Power Players beat the Ice Crushers when they all start using their weapon and powers in return, Ice Crusher accepts his loss and leaves the Power Players in peace.

Later when he return back to the Toy Store in "Freeze!", he was given a task by Madcap to distract the Power Players long enough while Madcap could get inside Andrew's workshop to search for more toys to expand the army. Ice Crusher keeps the Power Players distracted by freezing the floor of Axel's room and the hallways while mocking them for unable to fight him without falling down from the slippery ice. He also fights them in the living room, which he froze after he took Action Axel's order to "freeze" too literally, and he manages to trap them (except Slobot who's still in the living room) while continuing to mock them for not accepting his challenge for another hockey match. But before the Power Players are about to surrender, Slobot arrives in the living room and challenged Ice Crusher to a game of curling so he could beat him at his own game. Ice Crusher initially refuses to accept Slobot's challenge, seeing curling as not his sport and he didn't play with substitutes, but because Madcap was still having trouble opening the front door of the toy shop since it's locked, he has no choice but to play the game to continue stalling the Power Players long enough until Madcap gets inside. But after Slobot beats Ice Crusher at curling, he leaves the Power Players alone in defeat.
