Scene: Axel's room. Axel is playing a video game while the toys are all relaxing.
(Sarge, who's on Axel's shoulder, is helping him in a video game)
Sarge Charge: To your left! Left! Come on, Axel. Faster! Get out of the way!
(While Axel is playing his game, Bobbie is cleaning up her mecha-suit and Masko is doing his pull-ups)
Masko: Two hundred the seventy! Two hundred the seventy-one!
(Inside the closet, Bearbarian is mediating and attempt to lift World Breaker up with his levitation)
Bearbarian: Om. (The sounds of a baby crying is heard) What? (The Power Players all gathered up on Axel's bed where Baby is placed there) Does he not hear this howling?
(Axel is busy playing his game and he doesn't show any concern to the crying baby doll)
Zoe: Axel!
(Axel sighs and pauses his game. He walks to where Baby is)
Axel: Oh, brother! It's just a fake baby for our goofy school assignment. Why worry?
(Zoe enters the room while holding a baby bottle)
Zoe: Responsibility. We're supposed to learn to put someone else's needs before our own. Did you leave it alone again, Axel?
Axel: I'm almost at level 30 on my Underglare game! You take it, Zoe! You wanna?
(The light on Baby's chest starts blinking)
Sarge Charge: It's gonna blow! (He leaps down from Axel's shoulders and hides behind one of his shoes) Take cover!
(Zoe grabs Baby and feeds it)
Zoe: This doll has built-in wireless sensors! If we let it cry over a minute in the next 24 hours, or drop it even once, our teacher will know and he'll fail us both! (She hands Baby to Axel and he feeds it too) I have to go to soccer practice so first watch is yours like we agreed?
(Zoe heads to the door)
Axel: No worries! I'll watch over it, like we agreed, then you'll come take it so I can play, like we agreed.
(Zoe groans)
Zoe: Fine.
(Zoe closes the door and leaves)
Axel: Whatever. How hard can it be to watch out for a hunk of plastic, anyway? (Unbeknownst to Axel, Madcap is spying him from outside) Nap time! (He places Baby on the bed and he heads back to his chair to continue his game) Game time!
(Sarge gets onto Axel's shoulders again)
Sarge Charge: Hoo-ah!
Scene: Outside. Madcap is spying on the Power Players.
Madcap: Babies are so much fun!
(He laughs evilly as he pounces to the window of Axel's room)
Scene: Axel's room. Madcap looks inside the bedroom window.
Madcap: Well, well…
Sarge Charge: Two moving targets at twelve o'clock! Hold your fire, private.
(Baby starts crying again, which causes Madcap to duck to avoid being seen by the Power Players)
Axel: Aw, man! Right when I'm about to clear this level! If I didn't need a really good grade on this assignment…
(At Masko's wrestling ring, Masko is stretching his arms and legs)
Masko: Ha, ha, ha!
(Axel places Baby on the ring in front of Masko)
Axel: Hey, Masko! How's it going? Can you watch this for a second? Thanks!
(Axel leaves the room)
Masko: No, no. I am deep in the training for… (Axel slams the bedroom door close before he could finish. Baby starts crying again) Aaah! (He places Baby behind Bobbie at her lair) Shh!
(Baby cries again, startling Bobbie)
Bobbie Blobby: Whoa! (She lands on the floor) Otherwise occupied!
(Bobbie places Baby right outside the closet door which startles Bearbarian)
Bearbarian: Huh? (Bobbie innocently whistles and walks away) I will show you how we took care of a baby in Ancient Ameria!
(Bearbarian throws Baby to where Slobot is at the communication monitor table)
Slobot: Oh, hello, baby. (Baby knocks him down. Later after he gets himself back up, Slobot rolls to the back of Baby) Attempting to adjust the persistent sound malfunction. Wait. Is that…? I need to Axel right away.
(Slobot rolls off the table and lands on the floor. With the Power Players all out of the room, Madcap gets inside)
Madcap: These squeaky-clean toys always get it wrong. This magnificent specimen doesn't need any adjustments. (He gets to where Baby is) It just needs a little spark, and then the fun really begins! (He applies Minergy to Baby, making it come to life. Baby gets down from the table and heads downstairs) Nap time's over, junior! Play time begins!
(Madcap laughs evilly)
Scene: Living room. Axel is playing his game on the sofa while Sarge is watching him.
Sarge Charge: You got it!
(Slobot arrives in the room)
Slobot: Axel! About the baby, it…
(Axel's phone rings)
Axel: Hang on. It's Zoe. (He picks up the phone) Hey! Of course, everything's fine. I'm a great parent. (A smash is heard in the kitchen) Yes?
(Masko, Bobbie, and Bearbarian are all on the stairs when they hear the commotion)
Masko: Huh?
Axel: Noise? What noise? I didn't hear any— Oh, that! It's just… Sarge...
Sarge Charge: Huh?
Axel: ...doing target practice in the kitchen! (A plate is thrown towards Sarge, but he dodges it) Huh? You worry too much! Gotta go! Bye! (Baby appears out of its hiding place and throws a plate at him) What? How?
Bearbarian: By Gotharr, it lives!
Masko: How the baby is not the baby now is the baby?
Action Axel: You tell me, Masko! You were supposed to watch it!
Masko: Not the me!
Bearbarian: I left it with you!
(Sarge notices something in front of him)
Sarge Charge: Hit the dirt!
(Baby throws more plates at the Power Players, but the toys all dodge them)
Action Axel: Shield!
(Action Axel blocks himself from an incoming mug with his Power Shield, causing the mug to bounce onto the shield and got smashed into pieces when it hits the fireplace. Baby looks up and notices a jar of cookies on top of the refrigerator)
Bobbie Blobby: Can't let it get more ammo! You better hope it's not damaged.
Action Axel: And you can't attack it either! Don't let… (He notices Baby is climbing up the refrigerator) ...fall! Masko!
Masko: I need the boost!
Bearbarian: You shall have it hence! (He pounces up) Argh!
(Bearbarian hits the beanbag Masko is standing with World Breaker, causing Masko to launch up into the air)
Masko: Whoo! Ha, ha, ha, ha!
(Baby falls down from the refrigerator, but Masko catches it when he forms himself into a trampoline, causing it to bounce up into the air. Action Axel charges to Baby and catches it from falling)
Action Axel: Got it! Don't cry! All good! (He lands safely on the floor, but Baby gets off him and starts crawling away) Hey! Come back here! Guys! Runaway baby!
Bearbarian, Masko, and Sarge Charge: On it!
(The three toys all charge to Baby, but it knocks them aside)
Bearbarian: Where did it go?
Slobot: Axel…
Action Axel: Later, Slobot! That kid is too realistic! Something's up! We gotta find it! Fast!
(The Power Players all follow Baby to Axel's room)
Scene: Axel's room. Galileo is taking selfies on Axel's computer desk.
Galileo: Mmm. Yes. Ha, ha, ha! Looking good! And good-looking! (Baby has climbed up the desk and it walks behind Galileo, which he sees from his phone's camera) Aaah! I'm too young and handsome to be baby food!
(Masko grabs Baby and puts it on the floor. Bobbie fires out clay from her mecha-suit and it traps Baby)
Bobbie Blobby: I hate babysitting.
Action Axel: Nice job distracting it, Galileo. Guys, now, don't let it get away, and definitely don't let it cry or my assignment is sunk!
Bobbie Blobby: How do we do that, exactly?
(Baby starts crying)
Action Axel: We gotta put a smile back on that plastic face! Quick!
(Masko appears in front of Baby. He is wearing a mask that resembles a clown)
Masko: Ta-dah! Looky look! (Masko places his finger in his mouth and blows it, causing himself to form into a balloon. Baby stops crying and starts laughing in amusement. It grabs Masko and it accidentally pulls Masko's finger out of his mouth, causing him to deflate and starts flying in the room before he lands on the floor. Baby start crying again) I done.
Sarge Charge: I got this. (He walks to Baby) Listen up, kiddo. A soldier never weeps. So quit the whinin' and start smilin'! That's an order!
(Baby cries again which knocks Sarge down)
Bobbie Blobby: Make it stop!
(Bobbie aims her clay cannon at Baby and she's ready to fire clay at it which makes Action Axel has to point it down)
Action Axel: Bobbie! No! My grade! No! Nine seconds before Zoe and I get written up! Bearbarian, do something!
Bearbarian: Impossible. This bear instills fear into the hearts of his foes, not joy.
(Bearbarian hits World Breaker on the floor, causing it to squeak which makes Baby stop crying and starts giggling. The doorbell rings)
Action Axel: That's gotta be Zoe! Bearbarian, keep Baby entertained!
Bearbarian: Warriors do not babysit!
Action Axel: They do now! You stay. Everyone else, with me!
(The Power Players, except Bearbarian and Slobot, all head to the bedroom door)
Bobbie Blobby: See ya!
(When the Power Players left the room, Baby walks to Bearbarian and takes World Breaker away from him)
Bearbarian: You were faking it? Demon spawn! Grr!
Scene: Living room. The Power Players are about to get to the front door when Action Axel suddenly has a message from Bearbarian in the living room.
Bearbarian: There's a problem in here!
(Bearbarian ends his call)
Action Axel: Sarge, go see what's up while I deal with Zoe!
(Sarge salutes to Action Axel)
Sarge Charge: Copy that!
Action Axel: Masko, take cover in case it's Uncle Andrew!
Masko: Aye the aye!
(Action Axel, using his Power Drone, flies to the front door while Sarge heads back to Axel's bedroom)
Scene: Axel's room. Sarge enters the room and is about to fire his blaster, only to see what's going on with Bearbarian and Baby.
Sarge Charge: Huh?
(Baby is sitting on top of Bearbarian and hits him with World Breaker. Slobot is trying to pull Bearbarian off of Baby)
Slobot: There, there.
Sarge Charge: Try singing it a lullaby.
Bearbarian: I am no bard! You sing a lullaby!
Sarge Charge: Don't make me pull rank, cotton stuffings!
Bearbarian: ♫ Twinkle, twinkle little star. How I want to throw you far. You're a baby that is true. But I still want to clobber you. ♫ (Baby, Sarge, and Slobot all start to fall asleep. Sarge collapses on the floor while Slobot activates his sleep mode) ♫ Twinkle, twinkle little star. ♫
Slobot: Sleep mode.
Bearbarian: ♫ How I want to throw you far. You're a baby… ♫
(Bearbarian falls asleep too. Outside, Madcap looks through the window and sees them sleeping)
Madcap: What?
Scene: Front door. Zoe is waiting impatiently for Axel when he suddenly arrives and opens the door.
Axel: Hey, Zoe! Back so soon?
Zoe: Don't even. You left me on hold this whole time. Where's Baby?
Axel: Uh…
(Zoe angrily enters the room and heads to Axel's room. Axel slams the door close)
Scene: Axel's room. Madcap enters the room.
Madcap: I give you Minergy to be an agent of chaos, not to nap! Back to work, you! (He slaps Baby awake, but he causes it to get angry that it grabs his tentacles) Aaah! (Baby slams Madcap to the floor and starts twirling him around) Release me this instant or--! (Baby notices a bird on the windowsill and it starts walking to the bed while still hanging onto Madcap's tentacle) Unhand me, bratling!
(Axel and Zoe both enter the room)
Axel: Left it here in the capable hands of Bearbarian, and Sarge and…
(The kids both notice Sarge, Bearbarian, and Slobot are all sleeping. Zoe angrily glares at Axel which makes him shrug and laughs nervously. She then notices Baby is outside and is walking on the windowsill)
Zoe: Why is our fake baby a real baby?
(The kids both get to the back door)
Scene: Backyard. Baby, wearing Madcap like he's a backpack, climbs up to the rooftop to catch the bird.
Zoe: Madcap? You're the worst pretend parent ever! Come back with that baby!
Madcap: Don't tell me! Tell it! Babies are the worst playthings ever!
Zoe: You had one job to do, Axel! How could you let Madcap get it?
Axel: Me? It was my toys! They were supposed to… (The Power Players all angrily glare at him) No. It was me. I messed up. And it's time to be responsible for that. Baby! Game on!
(Axel transforms back into Action Axel. Zoe and the Power Players all notice Baby is about to catch the bird. The bird flies away and Baby is about to follow it, but the Power Players all get onto the rooftop. Bearbarian hits World Breaker on the roof which attracts Baby's attention and it walks back to the Power Players)
Action Axel: With a little help from responsible friends.
Madcap: No more babies!
(Madcap gets off Baby's back and jumps above to the rooftop)
Bearbarian: That's right, little one!
Action Axel: Keep coming!
Madcap: Kids. Always a disappointment. I'll take back my Minergy now!
(Madcap takes back all the Minergy from Baby and makes it inactive again)
Action Axel: What? No! Wait!
(Madcap laughs evilly as he takes away Baby's Minergy)
Madcap: Kids are no fun. No fun at all!
(Madcap leaves the Toy Store. Baby starts fall over)
Action Axel: He's going over! Oh, no!
(Action Axel flies to rescue Baby)
Bearbarian: By Gotharr!
Bobbie Blobby: Uh-oh!
(Action Axel catches Baby and flies up)
Action Axel: Drone baby delivery service! (The Power Players all cheer) Yeah!
Scene: Living room. The Power Players and Zoe are all in the living room while Axel is about to feed Baby.
Axel: Who knew babysitting a doll could be hard? Oh, Slobot, you wanted to tell me something before?
Slobot: Yes. While attempting to fix Baby, I successfully disconnected the chip with reporting capabilities. You are welcome.
Axel: What? But… but…
Zoe: We made sure nothing bad happened to Baby. Which was the whole point of the assignment.
(Axel sighs)
Bobbie Blobby: No reporting chip, huh? In that case…
(Bobbie fires a lump of clay at Baby)
Masko: Bobbie, no!
Sarge Charge: Stop! No!
(It turns out Bobbie is only firing a lump of clay to create a clay rattle for Baby)
Action Axel: Ha! Good one, Bobbie!
Bobbie Blobby: I have a soft side.
(Everyone laugh)
